The case was reported at Wandegeya Police Station after his managers did not receive any response from him.

Now Police says following their search, the body was discovered in Kanjansi along Entebbe Road on Wednesday. It was burnt beyond recognition.

Kampala Metropolitan spokesperson Luke Oyesigire said that when the family of the missing accountant was called upon to identify the body, some of the family members identified the body as Ekalungar’s while others couldn’t recognise it.

He says police has picked samples which have been taken for analysis and a DNA test is expected to confirm the identity of the body which has been forwarded to Mulago Hospital for postmortem. Oyesigire says Police will do its best to apprehend those connected to the murder.

“We have taken the samples today for analysis and this is expected to come in next week. But police will do its best to apprehend those involved,” he says.

The vehicle which the deceased was driving is still missing.

Dr Kato Sebbaale, the founder Case Hospital, says that the body found is surely believed to be that of the missing accountant. He says relatives are 80 percent sure it is him though he was burnt beyond recognition.
