The Kyandondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine has attacked President Museveni for the continued brutality by the army.

Addressing the press at his home in Magere Village, Wakiso District on Monday, Kyagulanyi wondered how President Museveni personally feels when citizens continue to be brutalized by the security forces.

Kyagulanyi said that President Museveni has on several occasions been referring to himself as a grandfather but the actions of the army don’t reflect him as a grandfather.

Kyagulanyi also said that he is surprised that instead of condemning the actions of the security forces, Museveni commended the army for brutalizing Ugandans.

Last week, supporters of Kyagulanyi in Entebbe and Kasangati were beaten by stick welding soldiers.

He also asked Museveni to save his legacy by doing what is right.

On the people power pressure group, Kyagulanyi explained that it is not a criminal group as alleged by some government officials. He said that it is a group for all citizens who believe in democracy.

He also said that people power is open to everyone from all other political affiliations in the country.

Kyagulanyi also denied allegations by the government that he is being supported by the external forces, he stressed that he feels insulted to learn that the people in the government think that Ugandans have to be paid to see what is right.

During the press conference Kyagulanyi avoided discussing his health. He explains that the details of his health are still confidential as guided by his medics back in America. He however, noted that several tests were carried out and the preliminary results are promising.
