Kidnappers holding a 10-year-old boy, Roy Odwe are demanding for 2 million shillings ransom for his release.
Odwe, a P.3 pupil of Katabi Primary School went missing last week, after the parents, Teddy Nantongo and Edward Sserubiri left him alone at their home in Busambaga village in Entebbe Municipality.
Teddy Nantongo, the mother, says that she received a message from a number 0704510053 informing her that Odwe was in their hands.
The number which is registered in the names of Ismael Mutyaba then sent a text message demanding for a 2 million shillings ransom for Odwe’s release.
Nantongo says that she later alerted police in Entebbe which condoned off Canan estates -Busambaga where the kidnappers had proposed to meet her.
A source at Entebbe Police Station, says the first operation to arrest the kidnappers failed, blaming it on the relatives and friends of the family who tampered with the investigations.
Onesmus Mwesigwa, the officer in charge of Criminal Investigations at Entebbe Police Station asked Nantongo to be calm as police hunts for the kidnappers.
