Man lynched for sneaking into girls’ dormitory

Students of St Edward Bukuumi Secondary school in Kakumiro town have killed a taxi driver for allegedly sneaking into a girl’s dormitory.

Charles Sebaduka, a taxi driver in Kakumiro town was killed in the wee hours of Thursday morning.

The girls made alarm when they noticed an intruder in their dormitory, which attracted their male counterparts.

They descended on Sebaduka and thumped him into coma. He was rushed to Kakumiro Health Center IV where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Julius Hakiza, the Albertine Region Police Spokesperson, says no suspect has been arrested in connection to the mob action, adding that investigations are ongoing.

Fisher Njongerere, the Head teacher St Edwards Bukuumi secondary school told our reporter that he received a call indicating that an intruder had sneaked into the girl’s dormitory triggering commotion at the school.

He says rowdy students beat Sebaduka into pulp and left him for dead before he was rushed to Kakumiro Health center IV.
