Jinja, Uganda | URN | Police in Jinja has recovered the second gun used in an attempted robbery at Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) on Wednesday night.
Diana Nandawula, the Kiira Regional Police Publicist says that the second gun was found at a residence in works zone, Nile Crescent road in Jinja town. It is suspected that the gun was abandoned by one of the guards, who plotted the robbery.
Nandawula said that all the suspects, including two private guards attached to Pinnacle Security Company, are on the run. Two of the guards were identified as Willy Namutondo and Bernard Otikoi, while details about the third suspect remain unknown.

Nandawula says that at the time of the incident which took place on Wednesday, the suspects abandoned one gun with 5 rounds of ammunition. She adds that police are working with the management of Pinnacle Security to hunt for the guards.
According to Nandawula, teams have already been dispatched to their home districts, and their homes in Jinja have also been searched where the second gun, of pump-action series, has been recovered.
