The Senior Manager Corporate Performance Management/Investor Relations will communicate financial plans, report on financial performance to required stakeholders. In addition, Senior Manager, CPM would partner with the Finance Centers of Excellence (CoE) and Shared Services Center (SSC) for seamless integration and optimization of financial
The Senior Manager, CPM, will oversee all the Finance Business Partners responsible for ensuring alignment between the business unit and finance to bring financial insights and continuously challenge the business strategy.
The Senior Manager, CPM, will also be responsible for Investor Relations Management. Creating and presenting a consistent investment message to the investor community on behalf of the company, and monitoring and presenting, the opinions of the investor community regarding the company’s performance, ensuring a balanced stakeholder relationship. This involves overseeing the release of information, handling inquiries and meetings, providing feedback to Investors and crisis management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategy Implementation
- Lead creation of sub-divisional strategy in line with overarching divisional goals, with emphasis on client experience (internal and external)
- Ensure effective implementation of sub-divisional strategy by means of providing direction, structure, business plans and support
Staff Leadership and Management
- Source, induct, and manage talent in accordance with legislative guidelines
- Ensure open communication channels with staff and implement change management interventions where necessary
- Provide definition of roles, responsibilities, individual goals and performance objectives for the team
- Set KPIs and provide regular performance feedback through a well-defined and implemented performance review program
- Develop and implement a training plan in order to build and develop skills within the team
- Performance manage resources in accordance with HR policy and legislation where necessary
- Actively participate in leadership team and develop skills of own team
- Promote a ‘MTN centric’ and ‘partnership approach’ to develop strong relationships with other working groups and ensure adherence to Group governance
Governance
- Adhoc, Operational and Tactical Meeting

Escalations
- Manage and resolve escalations that have impact on critical path of service delivery
- Escalate issues that will result in significant time, scope, employee/customer or cost impact if not resolved
- Manage and provide solutions to issues that require formal resolution
Opco Operational
- Set up and manage project status meetings
- Review and identify key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
- Manage budgets
- Sign-off / make decisions regarding operational changes
Opco Tactical
- Provide inputs on all projects initiated
- Review key risks, issues and dependencies and set mitigation actions
- Manage budget
Performance
- Review performance of SSC and CoE against agreed KPIs and their compliance to SLAs and reverse SLAs
- Review and monitor plan for continuous improvement
- Review performance of SSC and CoE
Reporting
- Review reports on a monthly basis from the SSC and CoE relating to progress made within the sub-division and in accordance with the measurement metrics set by the organisation
- Review reports on an adhoc basis on specific projects (as required)
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the MTN-Uganda Senior Manager Corporate Performance Management/Investor Relations job placement must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance/commerce or Business degree preferably accounting as a major
- Postgraduate in Finance and/or relevant professional qualification (e.g., Chartered Accountant)
- Professional Qualified Accountant (CFA, ACCA, CPA)
- 7-11 years of work experience in financial analysis and reporting
- At least 4 years’ experience in a senior management level within a financial unit of a leading organization
