Kaliro, Uganda | By Michael Wandati | In a distressing incident, a 27-year-old man named Franco Mulao has committed suicide after his wife, Juliet Namugere, reportedly refused to cook chicken at their home in Mawumo village, Kaliro district.
Upon returning home at 7:00 pm, Mr Mulalo requested his wife to prepare chicken soup for him. Allegedly, when she refused to cook chicken for him, Mr Mulalo, visibly upset, resorted to extreme measures.
According to Police spokesperson Fred Enanga, it is reported that Mr Mulalo “picked a rope and ran to the bush to hang himself.”
Despite Namugere and Mulalo’s mother making frantic efforts to locate him throughout the night, they tragically discovered his lifeless body hanging from a tree in the garden the following morning.
Fred Enanga expressed condolences and urged the public to seek counseling during times of distress rather than resorting to such drastic actions. He emphasized, “Members of the public should always seek counseling in case of stress instead of resorting to take their own lives.”
