Kampala, Uganda | By Michael Wandati | The Uganda Police, investigating the shooting incident involving Pastor Aloysius Bugingo and his slain bodyguard Richard Muhumuza, have gathered crucial details about the weapons used and potential suspects.
The attack on Pastor Bugingo, from the House of Prayer Ministries, occurred in the Namungoona-Lubaga Division in Kampala earlier this month, resulting in the tragic death of his bodyguard, Richard Muhumuza.
The police, through the Kibuli-based Special Investigations Division (SID), have announced a 20-Million-Shillings bounty for information leading to the arrest of the shooting suspects.
Police Spokesperson Fred Enanga, during a weekly security press briefing at Police Headquarters Naguru, revealed that they have received public information, and the task team is actively pursuing leads before making any arrests.

Emphasizing the importance of verifying information credibility, Enanga stated, “The public shall be informed on the progress.” Forensic experts have reported that the pistol used in Pastor Bugingo’s shooting matches the one employed in the killing of blogger Isam Olaxes (Isma Tusubira) last May near his home in Kyanja, Nakawa Division, Kampala.
Despite over seven months passing since Isma Tusubira’s killing, no breakthrough has been made, and no suspects have been apprehended in the case.
