Kampala, Uganda | By Michael Wandati | The 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education Examination (UCE) results are set to be released on Thursday, February 15, 2024, according to a reliable source within the Ministry of Education and Sports.
The official who asked to remain anonymous since is not the official Ministry spokesperson revealed that the senior four examination results will be made public at 11:00 am and are scheduled to be released at State House Nakasero.
Sources indicate that prior to the results announcement, the Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) plans to brief the Minister of Education and Sports on the students’ performance.
In the latest development, the Minister for Education and Sports and First Lady Janet Museveni has today confirmed that she will release 2023 UCE results on Thursday 15, February 2024, starting at 11:00 am.
This marks the second batch of national examinations released by UNEB, following the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) released last month.
How to check your 2023 UCE Results
There are two options for checking your results. The first option is to send an SMS to the shortcode 6600, which has a cost associated with it. The second option is to check your results through the UNEB online portal.
To check for your kid’s results via SMS:
- Step 1: Open your message pad on your phone and type UCE <space> INDEX NUMBER of your kid and send to 6600.
- Step 2: The cost for each SMS is 500 UGX, and the service is available on both the MTN and Airtel networks.
To check for your kid’s results via the UNEB’s e-registration online platform:
- Step 1: Visit the UNEB eReg Portal, and select Results https://ereg.uneb.ac.ug/results.
- Step 2: You will be redirected to a page that has a UNEB Results header. From here, enter your Index Number and tap Search.
