Nairobi, Kenya | By Michael Wandati | Detectives investigating the tragic murders of two women and a young girl in Eastleigh have gathered new insights and recorded statements from four individuals linked to the case.
Among those questioned is a man currently in custody, considered an accomplice to the main suspect. Authorities revisited various crime scenes for further evidence as the three victims were laid to rest in Lang’ata Cemetery.
Investigators also obtained CCTV footage from a petrol station along Mombasa Road, which shows a suspect refueling a vehicle believed to have been used to transport the bodies. This vehicle has since been recovered by the police.
Evidence indicates the suspect refueled the car shortly after allegedly disposing of a body in Machakos County. Another person interviewed was an accomplice reportedly in contact with the main suspect on the night of the killings; both individuals also shared a rented residence in Eastleigh.
Additionally, the landlord of this property, who is said to have rented it to the suspect without formal documentation, has provided a statement.
Police have also apprehended two individuals from Nairobi’s CBD who reportedly sold the suspect a mobile phone valued at Ksh.23,000. The suspect left a mobile number belonging to a woman at the shop, adding another clue to the investigation.
